MAIREHAU CLUB. A epecial meeting of the Mairehau Cycling Ciab wa» held last evening ir the r chau Hail, to bear a complaint laid by W. Maokie against F. J. Casey, who, iu was alleged, brought Mackie down :n the South Island Championship on Saturday, May 3. Evidence was called rn both sides, but it was inclined to be contradictory, and the committee d oided that the evidence heard was not conclu - aive enough to convict Casey. It was decided to donate £5 5s towards the fund for the Timaru to Chrtstcaurch Road Race, £:i 3b ct which was to go to the first Mairehau Club member to finish, and £2 2s to the first Mairehau Club member to finish unplaced. A vote of thank* was accorded to all who had helped the club in the running of its races this a son. several of whom will be given a small presentation in recognition of their services.
