Miss Guest, daughter of Lady Theodora Guest, is, not only master of her own pack of hounds, but also finds an outlet for her love of animals in the breeding of British Friesian cattle and working fox terriers Stately cranes inhabit the lawns by the house, and pea-fowl are numerous. Miss Guests start as Master of Hounds was in 1908 with a pack of beagles. Her father, the late Merthyr Guest, was for many years Master of the Blackmore Vale, which he entirely supported, and which was famous for the pure white horses with which the hunt was equipped.
