BOGUS CLOTHS.
LARGE GANG ARRESTED IN VIENNA. MANY PEOPLE DUPED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney “Sun" Cable. (Received January 11, 10.5 a.m.) VIENNA. January 10. Tho police arrested 200 foreign pedlars, mostly Italians, who were disgui:ied as British sailors and were selling at high prices bogus British cloths. They alleged that they had smuggled into Austria cloths bearing the trade marks of well-known British firms. All the cloths are shoddy. Many clerks, civil servants and people of professional classes were victimised. The Vienna firms who sold the cloths to pedlars are being prosecuted.
