WINTER STORMS.
BLIZZARD IN CHANNEL. - - By Telegraph—Frees Association- -Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 9. A remarkable blizzard swept over Southern England, accompanied by the worst snowstorms since 1919. A bleak easterly gale caused heavy drifts. Twenty-five degrees of frost were registered at Dumfries.
GALE IN BAY OF BISCAY. LONDON. January 9. Great storms are raging in the Bay of Biscay, and much damage has been done to shipping in French ports and rivers. Fishermen describe the storm as the worst in living memory.
