WOOL SALE. .

PRICES MAINTAINED. THE sale concluded. There was almost a total clearance of the 4062 bales which were submitted at the wool sale this morning. Bidding teas hardly so spirited for plain and shabby wool as was the case yesterday, blit- for all wool of good quality there was practically no change in values. Cross-breds maintained the previous day’s high prices. There were no record prices this morning. Several buyers who had been present at the sale yesterday were absent this morning, having satisfied their requirements, but their absence did not affect the keenness of the competition. The final catalogue was disposed of at about 10.45 o’clock and the selling of a small quantity of star lots was then commenced. A typographical error occurred in the table in yesterday’s issue showing the number of bales catalogued by the different brokers. Messrs H. Matson and Co.’s total should have been 3301 instead of 301 as stated. RANGE OF VALUES. The following is the range of values compared with the November sales:—-

Fourteen bales of half-bred ewe A brand JC conjoined made 26£d. Seventeen bales of super half-bred ewe brand JBO made 26|d. For five bales of extra super halfbred ewe brand OC over Woodgro£e J'fld was paid. Eight bales of half-bred ewe brand Url made 26^d. Cross-hred hogget A from tile Brookshaw chp made 19d for three bales. three bales of cross-bred A from the Grasslands clip made 20jd and 17 of Corriedale A 26Jd. Half-bred ewe A brand reversed PF conjoined made 26jd for six bales For fifteen bales of first half-bred ewe brand JWB over Vulcan Flat 26*d was paid and for three bales of first nalt-bred neck pieces 24}d. Corriedale wether AA from the Rockvale clip made 26d for eight bales. Five bales of hall-bred ewe brand S under triangle made 26Jd and four bales brand Eascott made 26d.
