The All Blacks’ tour was further considered by the Now Zealand Rugby Union to-night, when th© English Union’s confirmatory letter was received. The itinerary of thirty matches will comprise one test, five matches in Wales, two in Ireland. seventeen against counties. 011 c against services, two against universities and two in France, the first match playable on September 13 and the last on January 3. In connection with allowances to players which England refuses to sanction. the union received suggestions from the Auckland and Otago unions that the English union be further urged to sanction out-of-pocket expenses. It was decided to prepare a statement for nil unions regarding the negotiations with the English union in connection with the tour. ASSOCIATION GAME. ENGLISH TEAMS TOUR. WELLINGTON. December 13. At a meeting of the New Zealand Football, Association to-night a letter from th© Commonwealth Football Association stated that the tour of Australia and New Zealand by the English team, comprising Corinthians and ’Varsity men. was. according to the cables, definitely arranged for 1924. A team of twenty players should be capable of developing a high test standard. An invitation was also received to attend the conference in Sydney in January. As New South Wales proposed that the Australian team should be sent to Britain and Europe and New Zealand, it might like to take an interest in it. It was decided to reply that the New Zealand Association does not desire to join in sending an Australian-New Zealand combination to Europe. Other matters were referred to the emergency committee. Mr B. L. Salmon reported no definite information as to the English tour, but said Mr Wall would not have released the information unless it was accurate. It, wa« decided to cable for further information probable dates, etc., asking that, the tour Bhould commence in New Zealand in May. If possible, the local associations may be required to guarantee £l5O and the four main associations £SOO each, and it was decided to write warning them to be prepared with guarantees.
