Harold ChandlerTias been acquitted on the charge of occasioning actual bodily harm to a man named Rigby, during a football match. Considerable evidence was adduced to show that he was attempting a high tackle when his open hand struck Rigby. An unusual incident was recorded at Parramatta as a sequal to a Rugby Leaguo match between Windsor and Wentworthville in September. Harold Rigby was sprinting for a try and had only Harold Chandler to beat. The latter knocked Rigby’s arm down as he was endeavouring to fend and in the resultant mix-up Rigby was dazed. On recovering he found his nose bleeding. Chandler was committed for trial on a charge of occasioning actual bodily harm.
