MINORITY CONTESTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney “Sun” Cable. (Received December 10, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 9. Seventy-four per cent, of the electors voted, as compared with seventy-five per cent in November. 1922. There are 213 members representing minorities as a result of triangular contests, of whom ninety-four are Conservatives, seventy - one Labour and forty-eight Liberals. Of the 158 seats which changed hands, eighty were the sienes of triangular contests. Labour’s gains include fortythree in triangular fights, and the Liberals twenty-seven. Labour won seven seats with majorities exceeding 10,000, tbe Conservatives three and tbe Liblerals none. Labour won three seats with majorities below 100. the Liberals eight and the Conservatives five.
