The match between Riccarton and East Christchurch was resumed at Hapley Park. On the first day. Riccarton made 201, East Christchurioh 60, and following on 54 for four wickets. Harris 2 not out. was accompanied to the wickets by Brosnahan. In the fourth over Harris was caught by Fuller off Evans. 64—6--12. Flood took his place. Indifferent play resulted for a few minutes until Flood drove a good / J»all to the boundary. In thhe fifth over Rix bowled Brosr.jihan with a straight ball. Oti Coupland taking strike, play livened a little. Coupland in the foxth over, drove a good houndary, bringing the score to the centurs*. The second day’s play of the mutch. West Christchurch v. St Albans, took place a t Hagley Park on a much improved wicket. On the first day’s play West Chriatehurch had scored 121 and St Albans H 5 for four wickets 'P. Martin not ou' 35, It. J. Carleton not out 2). Martin and Carle ton went to the wickets at 2.6 p.m. C. A. pooke ytd -R. O. Talbot were the opening

bowlers, and after a maiden over by Cocks, Carleton sent him for a nice lag glide for two. fqllowetl by a three. Carleton survived a chance, and the next- ball from Cocks took his wicket. 121—5—5. Martin opened his account by placing a beautiful four to mid-on, bringing 8t Albans first innings score level with West's. Findlay replaced Talbot, and his fourth ball beat A. W. Thomas. 133—6—0. Sandman scored a single. With u pretty cut Mnrtin brought his 50 up. but Blunt at, first slip caught him off Cocke's next ball. 142—7—53. The incoming batsman was W.
