PHILLIPSTOWN PARISH GARDEN FETE.

The annual garden fete in aid of the funds of the Phillipstown Parish was opened in the picturesque Waipounamu College, grounds, Ferry Road, yesterday. The grounds were made gay with the decorated stalls, the green trees completing a pretty scene. The Mayor (Mr J. A. Flesher) opened the proceedings, being received and thanked on behalf of the parishioners by the Rev C. A. Fraer. vicar of the parish. The stalls with those in charge are as follow: The Parish Guild stall, plain and fancy work—Mesdames Nash, Cragg, Coulson and Donovan. The Sanctuary Guild stall, fancy work—Alisses Craddock. Atkinson, and Alexander. T. Rongi, Drake, Airs Oaks and Miss Frankish. Aliscellaneous stall —Air Bolt. Handkerchief stall—Mesdames Anderson and Berry. Produce stall—Airs Morris and Air G. Morris. Cake stall—Air Douglas and Airs Alapplebeck. Flower stall—Aliss Fraer and the “Crusaders.” Sweet stall —The Servers, Alessrs T. Pitama, D. Brunt, C. Godfrey, and R. Gibson. Ice Cream and Drinks—Afesdames Desmond and Gordon; Alessrs W. Desmond and members of the Young Alen s Guild. Bran Tub and Fancy Goods—Alesdames Dunlop and Bates. Refreshment Stall and Tea—Alesdames Livingstone, Crespin, Aliss A. Spence, Alesdames Pycroft, Williams, Weston. Cunningham, Alacdonald. Side Shows—Mr Len Ilauper, Air Walter Desmond. Fred Rainbow, Jack Olliver, Charles Olliver. Music— Air C. Jaughan and members of Derry’s Band. The fair will be continued this afternoon and evening
