A Labour candidate, Young, gained the Particle Division of Glasgow in a triangular contest, defeating Allan Smith, Conservative Free Trader, and M’C’allum Scott, Liberal. Another Labour candidate. Bon Smith, gained the Rotherhithe Division of Bermon<lsey against Conservative and Liberal candidates. Sir A. Steel-Maitland (C.) was reelected in tho Erdington Division of Birmingham. # Fletclier Moulton, Liberal, gained Salisbury, defeating the Conservative member, and another Liberal, Mitch* ell, similarly gaimxi Perth. London is represented by* 30 Conservatives, 31 liberals and 21 Labour members. Fife shire's representation is unchanged. Sir Hamar Greenwood (L.) was defeated in Sunderland, where two Conservatives were re-elocted. Sir Robert Horne (C.) was re-elected in a triangular contest in the Hillhead Division of Glasgow. Mr Ramsay MacDonald's majority in Aberavon was 3512. Edinburgh has returned one Conservative, three Liberals and one Labour member, compared with two Conservatives, two .Liberals and ono Labour in the last Parliament. Glasgow has five Conservatives and ten Labour, compared with four Conservatives, one 3/iberal and ten Labonr last November. Tom Kennedy gained Kirkcaldy District from the Liberal. The Labour members, W. M. Adamson (Fife West), E. Shimvell (Linlithgow), G. Lansbury (Whitechapel) were re-elected. A Liberal. Cornys Carr, gained East Islington in a triangular contest wherein thg Labour candidate. Dr Ethel Bentham, was at the bottom of tho poll. j An independent Cottiservatire. Ferguson, gained Motherwell (Lanarkshire) in a triangular fight. Lanarkshire is now represented by six Labour members and one Conservative, comparer! with five Labour, one Communist and one Conservative in the last Parliament. Labour gained Lanark at tho expense of the papular Conservative Minister, Captain W. E. Elliott, Undersecretary of Health for Scotland. In London tho boroughs of Lewisham, Paddingtoh and Wandsworth voted solidly Conservative, and Poplar solidly Lal>our. St. Pancras now sends two Labour and one Conservative to the House. Southwark sends two Labour and ono Liberal, and Stepney is solidly Labour.
