SUNBURN AND FRECKLES.

Those who tan and freckle easily should avoid the use of very hot water or soap to tfie face. Lukewarm water, to which a few drops of simple tincture of benzion have been added, should be used both morning and night, and at night a little pure olive oil should be rubbed into the skin. As a means of preventing both sunburn and freckles sponge the face over every morning, and two or three times daily, with a lotion made by mixing double distilled rose water and elderflower water in equal parts. Dab this on the skin with a pad of cotton wool, then give a dusting of complexion powder—preferably in “ ocher,” as this shade is much more effective in preventing sunburn than any other.
