SPREYDON SPARKLETS.

CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL. A very successful children’s fancy dress ball was held in the Somerfield school grounds last Saturday evening. The grounds, which were illuminated by. electric light, were crowded with children and parents. The costumes worn by some 150 children wore very pretty and original and showed that the parents must have given a lot of thought to the making of the drosses. The judges were Air and Airs AY. H. Winsor and Airs and Mrs Andrews, and their task in picking out the winners was a hard one. The decorated prams, bicycles and motor-car were also very pretty and looked well under tlie electric light.
