“REINSTATE THE POPE!”

LONDON, November 24. “ At any English people are beginning to think that, Britain made a mistake three hundred years ago in not holding on to the Pope.” said Cardinal Bourne, addressing the annual conference of the Catholic Evidence Guild. “ Wo members of the guild are out to reinstate the Pope. AVe want him to I*e the spiritual and ethical leader of Britain, and we are not hiding that fact at all. The first thing we have to do to bring this about is to let people know about the Pone ; for if we con only get the people of Britain to know about the Pope, and submit themselves to him. all the other difficulties we talk about will vanish. If we only succeed in getting the Pope reinstated in the hearts of the English people, we shall have our heart’s desire.
