CYCLING SPORTS.

AT ENGLISH PARK. On Saturday afternoon, at English Park, St Albans, the public of Christchurch will have an opportunity of witnessing flrst-ciass cycle racing. The track ia banked, and is in excellent order and favourable for fast times. An exceptionally good entry has been received, including Phu O'Shea, track and road champion. 11. G. Watson (winner of the recent TimaruChriatcliurch road race), P. Hill (Warrnam-bool-Melbourne road race winner), A. Leathern and J. Henderson, both championship winners, J. Beaxman, 11. W. Birch. W. Mackie, A. Bonis, P. F. Saunders and S. L. Wilbraham and other brillinnt sprinters. The one mile Canterbury championship will be decided at the meeting, and will be run off in two heats. Other events on the programme include running races, for which some of the beat runners in Canterbury have nominated.
