CRICKET. Last Saturday the wickets were in good ©audition on the whole, and the outfield considerably shorter than previously. Some food totals were registered. five player* passing the halt century, whilst M. ltoyds, of the St. Andrew's seventh grade team, missed his century by a dozen rmiH. Hi* total of 83 is the second highest recorded so far this season. Royds has been batting vsry well of late, and should bo hard to keep out of the untler-flfteen representative team, which is to try conclusions with Mr f&liacklock's primary school representatives on December 15. H. Chinnery (West), who was second on the list with 78. has also batted well this season, and should be a certainty for selection. F. Tomlineon, with €6 not out. secured ton score for the fifth grade. His innings last Saturday was exceedingly good, not a single chance beirrg given, and, but for his vide declaring, he might have reached the century. Technical A scored a fairly easy win agaanst School A last Saturday, whilst Marist were a bit too good for St. Andrew’s. However, in the latter game the losers put up a much better fight than in the previous match between the two teams. Y.M.C.A., in their game against Technical B. at one time seemed certain of victory, but ultimately they had to submit to a three-point loss, but only by the small margin of five runs. The previous game between these two teams was won by Technical B. who, however, in that match were rather lucky. Last Saturday they well deserved their victory, which was due to the very fine stand made in their second innings, after Y.M.C.A. had appeared to have the game well in hand. School I> were ahead of School C on the first innings, but they failed badly in their second knock, and the C team secured a three-pointer.
