MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Mr H. "Y. NV iddowson, S.M.) ALLEGED ASSAULT. Henry Edward Lyons, aged twentynine, who was charged with indecently assaulting a girl of six years, was remanded till Wednesday next. MAINTENANCE. Charles Henry William Tapper, who was charged w'ith failing to maintain bis wife, being £9 2s in arrears up to April 11 , was remanded till Tuesday. CIVIL CASES. (Before Mr H. Y. AViddowsou, S.M.) Mrs M’Gibbon, £2l 5s sd; South Island Motors Ltd. v. Maurice Edward Leech, £5 ss. POSSESSION. R. Robertson was ordered to give possession of a tenement to A. H. M’Donald and to pay rent amounting to £29 7s. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Stanley Thomas was ordered to pay £66 6s fed to Mrs E. Parker, in default one month's imprisonment, the warrant to he suspended if £lO per month was paid off the debt. Gordon Stephen Mills was ordered to pay E. C. Raphael £7 7s 6d, in default tou clays’ imprisonment. RENT DUE. John Joseph AVestgarth (Mr K. Al. Gresson) claimed from C. Flattery (Mr AV. J. C'racroft AVilsonl tne sum of £8 ss. balance of rent due and rent in lieu of notice. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £5BUILDER S CLAIM. J AA' Harris (Air J. R. Cunningham! claimed £146 8s from Mrs A. Barbour work done and materials supplied in connection with alterations to a house at 62. Byron Street. Sydenham. It was claimed by defendant that the work was faulty and evidence showed that valuers who had made an inspection of the house recommended a deduction of £2O from the original claim of £166 8s — in view of certain taults. Plaintiff-made allowance for this m the Judgment was given tor the amount <1 aimed without costs.
