COXCOMBS FOR KNUTS.
MARCELS AND MUTTON CHOPS LON DON. October 29. Women arc still divided on the question of bobbed or marcelled hair, and the retention of their own natural glory, says Mr Symonds. president of the Hairdressing Exhibition. The women’s styles displayed are very varied, but it is ex pec ter? that the “ shingling ” mode will be the most popular. Mr Symonds expresses the opinion that the male “ kn'it ” will be beautified by Dundreary whiskers, terminating at the ear-lobe, combined with a coxcomb, produced by the hail !>eing brushed into a creast on either Aide, and a centre parting, extending from the forehead to the nape of the neck. Men whose features are not suited to the coxcomb may trv a Mareel wave, combined with small mut-ton-chop whiskers, giving a Byronic effect, or, as an alternative, a parting on each side of the head.
