Dr Lindo Ferguson, commenting on the work of the Medical Congress, said that the absence hitherto of an organ isj.-.on for carrying out the recomnieng. .. is of previous Medical Congresses miki .. .-oping them under tlio notice of t!ii‘ different Governments tended to weaken the effects which should be produced. It was felt desirable that a continuous organisation, such as the British Medical Association, whose ao tivities were constant rather than spasmodic, would prove more successful, the inauguration of a new series of conferences under the auspices of that body.
