PLUNKET BALL.

The Art Gallery with its white and almond green decorations presented a very bright, happy and carnival appearance last evening, when the Blunket dance committee held their ball. The drapings were so arranged as to form a canopy of white and tho walls were completely covered with green over tho white. White drapings at intervals AA'erc looped and clusters of fruit in brilliant shades and large silhouettes were suspended. The lights were all shaded, except the centre piece which held streamers of yelloAv paper caught in lantern effect. Tho permanent gallery, used as a lounge, Avas transformed into a room of coolness and beauty, large bowls of flowers and ferns making a pleasing background l'or tho many beautiful frocks. Bailey’s Jazz Band supplied the music. Airs J. Studholmo received Lord Jollicoe. She. Avore a handsome gown of pearl grey embossed satin Avith flowing sleeves of georgette find bertho of exquisite cream lace.
