ST MARY'S CARNIVAL.
The Caledonian Hall Ava.s again crowded last evening, when the organisers of St Mary’s carnival continued their attractive sale. The stalls woro all well stocked, and held special attractions for both young and old. The object of the appeal is to clear the debt that still remains upon Kt Mary’s parish, and a beginning towards the funds for a new church. The success which so far has attended the carnival is largely due to the tireless efforts of the heads of the various stalls and their assistants. The .stallholders are as follow Zealandia stall Mesdames J. S. Barrett and W. Clifford. Surprise packets—-Lady Clifford and Miss Enright. Sports -Ale.-dames Garrigan and Holley. Sweets—Atrs Vincent and Airs Mason, Hibernia stall--Mrs Heaphy, Airs Gerard and Miss O’Connor Clarkson’s Orchestra supplied spirited music during the evening, and delightful items were given by many J little Scotch lassies. The carnival Avill l>e continued this evening and on Wednesday, when a largo attendance iii anticipated by the many willing workers.
