+ H A RRISON—SUTCLIFFE. \ pretty wedding was celebrated recently at. St Paul’s Church, Christchurch. the contracting parties being Miss Miriam Sutcliffe, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs A. \\\ Sutcliffe, of A von aide, to Mr Fred Harrison, nephew of Mr and Airs FT. W Clark, of North Richmond. The service was conducted by the Lev Norman Wehster. of St Andrew’s, and Mr Raynor White presided at the organ. England. CARR ELSTOB. A wedding was solemnised in Wellington recently, when Fanny Elstob, fifth daughter of Mrs .T. H. Elstob, Christchurch, was married to Mr CL T. Carr, youngest son of Air W. S. Carr. Wellington. The Rev J. F. Martin officiated. The bride wore a pretty frock of ivory crepe de chine with sleeves and panels of georgette, heavily embroidered with crystal beads. Misses Lilian and Daisy Barker, as bridesmaids, wore dainty frocks of white and shady hats, and carried posies of white flowers. When the bride left for her wedding tour she wore a smart costume of fawn gabardino with cloche hat of same shade. TOMLINSON- TUNMER. A wedding took place at. the Ellesmere Methodist Church recently, the bride being Ivy, youngest daughter of Mr and Airs Edward Tunmer, Ellesmere, and the bridegroom Ivan, eldest surviving son of Air and Airs Tomlini son. Caledonian Road. St. Albans. The Rev J. W. Parker performed the ceremony. and Aiiss Alice Chamberlain presided at the organ. The church had been prettily decorated by the choir, of which the bride and bridegroom are members. The bride, who was given away by her father, avore a white crepe de chine frock, prettily beaded, the usual veil and orange- blossoms. and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. She was attended, by Aiiss Alartha Brown (Leeston') as bridesmaid, who wore cau de nil jersey silk and a grey georgette hat. Mr Maitland Tomlinson carried out the duties of best man. As the happy couple were leaving the church the school children strewed the path with rose leaves and silver horse-shoes. After the <-eremony Air and Afrs Tunmer entertained about sixty guests at their residence. When Air and Airs Ivan Tomlinson left later for their future home, the bride wore a. grey costume, and henna hat. trimmed with ribbon and berries.
