N ovember 4. -Mr Neville Chamberlain, speaking at Ratcliff, referred to the Government’s iroposal of a general tariff for manuactured goods. He said that an Adrisory Committee would be appointed immediately to interview representa:ives of different industries, and only liter collecting all information, would t>e Government be able to frame a general tariff. Me intimated that such proposals would ho submitted for the derision of the country before next winter.
