WHAT SHORT WOMEN SHOULD AVOID.
At the present moment the wearing of earrings is popular, and the wise woman knows that these adornments can enhance her beauty, reduce her apparent age, and add enormously to her attraction if chosen and worn with No one with a sallow complexion, or signs of crows’ feet about the corners of her eyes should dream of nearing diamond solitaires in her ears. Single diamonds may be worn by such a one if dangling from tiny platinum chains; the jewels will not be in actual contact with the skin, which will not therefore be made to appear harsh or dry. No short, plump woman should wear long, dangling earrings: they add to her age : however great the temptation she should defy fashion and confine herself to the single stone variety. A safe rule would he: If you measure less than five foot five in your stockings, leave long earrings severely alone. Earrings of jade bring out the tones in the complexion of a blonde; if she is passing over the border to middle age she can near pearls, moonstones or sapphires, hilt must avoid turquoises. for they will find out any yellow tones there may be in "her complexion.
