STOP PRESS NEWS.
A miraculous escape from serious injury befel the occupants of a motor-car driven by Mr W. Giddcns, of Barry’s Bay, this morning. The went* of the accident was midway on the road between Barry's Bay and French Farm. The car pulled to the side of the road to allow a vehicle to pass, when the bank collapsed, the ear dropping 60 or 70 feet to the rock below. The occupants (.Mr and Mrs Giddens and Mrs Hunt) were thrown clear, and were caught in some bushes from which they climbed later, severely bruised and shaken, but suffering no serious injury.
