At the annual meeting of the Taylor’s Aiistake Life Saving Club, the president, Air F. D. Ivesteven stated that the Sumner Borough Council received £BO a year from the owners, of th.i huts besides rates from the owners of the sheep runs, and that it did practically nothing in the interests of the visiting bathers, He thought this was not fair, and bo hoped thp.t the club and the council could meet at a future date and discuss matters with a view to mutual assistance.
