A London cablegram states' that Mr Frank Kellogg, formerly a Minnesota Senator, is named as the probable American ambassador in London in succession to Colonel Harvey. The following officers have been appointed to the Canterbury Regiment:— Lieutenant H. Henderson, (late unattached list), Second-Lieutenants AY. G. Corbett (late Southland Regiment), H. O. Jefcoato and AY. B. Monday to be second lieutenants (on probation). Captain R. S. dc R. Harman has been transferred to the reserve of officers George H. O. Barclay has been appointed second lieutenant (on probation), with the First N.Z. Mounted Rifles (G.Y.C.) Lieutenant G. G. Donniston has been transferred to the reserve of officers. A notice in the “ Gazette ” states that Captain L. AT. Tsitt has been appointed to command the N'.Z. Air Force Depot, AVigram Aerodrome, CTh ri stchureh. Air T. Ritchie, of the City Surveyor’s Department, has been admitted as an associate of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
