One of the brightest of the Synod functions tin’s year was the St John’s College luncheon held at the St Stephen’s vicarage, Shirley. The Rev . and Mrs Friberg entertained the following past students: Dr J. F. Hollowav. ('anon I. M. H. Galvvew Mr 11. .Tones, Revs C. A. Tobin. R. 13. Fox, F. Dunnage, 11. O. T. Hanbv. Nelson Wright, and -J. F. Feron. The college colours (cardinal and white) were in evidence in tile table decorations and in the place caids. which also were embellished with the college coat of arms. After the luncheon a united greeting was telegraphed to the warden of St John’s College, Auckland.
