ADDINGTON SCHOOL.

FETE FOR PICNIC FUND, Parents, friends and children spent a pleasant time in the Addington School grounds this afternoon, when an openair fete was held in aid of the picnic fund. Shrubs and trees mostly were used for the stalls, which held produce, fancy work, flowers, vegetables, sweets and many other articles. There were games of skill and competitions, including a baby show. A feature of the arrangements was a procession of about 100 children, in fancy dress, with decorated bicycles and prams. The procession was marshalled in the Addington Domain, about half a mile from the school, and marched along several streets to the school grounds. Teachers and members of the School Committee were in attendance. The fete, which was well organised, will materially help the fund.
