EVENING CARNIVAL.
IN ASSOCIATION WITH A. AND P SHOW. A new feature of the Canterbury A. and P. Association’s Diamond Jubilee Metropolitan Show this year will be the big evening carnival to‘be held at the Show Grounds on Thursday. November 8, when the grounds will be lighted and a splendid evening’s entertainment given, including buck-jumping competitions. Gretna Green race, pony competitions, bending race, leaping race, musical chairs on horseback, flag race, etc.. There will be string and pipe bands in attendance and a great evening’s fun is promised. Admission to the carnival will be Is. children half price. Entries for the events close at the secretary’s office at the Show Grounds at noon on Thursday, November 8. entrv fees for adults being 5s and for children 2s 6d. The association's show will as usual be held on Thursday, November 8. and Friday, November 9, when there will be all the usual well known features.
