BORN WITH TEETH.
A SMART LITTLE GIRL TOOTH NOW FAMILY TREASURE. A paragraph in yesterday's “Star,” stating that a French surgeon at Bordeaux recently reported a rase in winch a boy twelve days old had cur a tooth, and that the occurrence is very rare, only about fifty rases having been recorded in medical literature, was read with interest bv a Christchurch resident, as liis little daughter, now five years of age, was born with a tooth. The tooth has been preserved. The child’s father has had it set in gold, and hung by a light golden chain to a lace-pin, which he has presented to his wife. The paragraph, states that formerly it was believed that children bom with teeth would grow up with exceptional strength or mental ability. The Christchurch girl demonstrates that this theory is based on observation. She is very active, and unusually bright and intelligent for her age.
