CREW OF JAPANESE SUBMARINE. “ WE HAVE DONE OUR DUTY,” By Telegraph—Press Sydney ” Sun ” Cable. (Received October 25, 10.15 a.m.) TOKIO, October 24. The recovery of tho bodies of the crew of submarine TO, which sank at Kobe on a trial in August last, disclosed that some lived for several hours after the plunge. They left messages showing that they met their death calmly and bravely. A note in a towel wrapped round the head of an engineer, Sbirokane, says:— “ We are satisfied that we have done our duty and are now awaiting death.” A not© left by an electrician, Aoki. ‘• Good-bye, my family. We are rapidly sinking. Jf savjpd, I will again work in submarines. Take care of yourselves.”
