“A NICE PLACE.”
MINISTER OF EDUCATION ON CHRISTCHURCH. During his visit to the Waimairi School this morning, in connection with a request from the School Committee for increased accommodation at the school, the Hon C. «T. Parr, Minister of Education, said he was always pleased to meet school committees ; especially Christchurch committees, because they were doing really good work. “In that case J hope you will come down here more often,” Mr Parr,” interposed Mr G. Witty, M.F. “! will come down as often as 1 can, •’ replied Mr Parr. “I like Christchurch; it is a nice place.” Mr T. Holmes (chairman of the school committee): T hope that Mr Parr will be here next year to open our new building.
