ELLESMERE GUN CLUB.
The Ellesmere Gun Club held a number of clay bird sweepstakes on Saturday, in Mr Nairn’s paddock at l.akeside. No. 1 sweep, for which the first prize was a medal presented by the C.A.C., was for thirteen birds at handicap distance. I>. jM’Qrctfor, F. Alexander and L.. Reid were equal, and in the shoot-off M’Gregror was first, Alexander second and Reid third. No. 2 sweep—W. Quigley. G. Nairn, F. Alexander, F. Rowell, VV. Patterson and W. B. Donald divided the stake. No. 3 sweep—J. Winchester. G. Nairn. I>. Reid. W. Patterson and IX M’Gregor divided the prize money. No. 4 aweeo. first miss out. wan divided by W. Patterson and F. Alexander. No o sweep, first miss out. was won by D. Reid.
