RIFLE SHOOTING.
CASHMERE MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. The annual smoke concert ami presentation of prizes took place at the Beckenham Hall on Wednesday evening. The president of the club, Mr H. A. Papprill, presided over a large attendance, including many visitors. Among those present were:—Mr W. S. Wharton, president of the Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association; Mr A. longue, its secretary: Major J. P. Oakes. President of the Canterbury Rifle Association; and Mr B Dookerv. chairman of the executive of the Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association. After a programme of songs and instrumental items, the president of the club made the presentation o? prizes as follow:—Club champion cup, J. R. Walker; junior championship medal. 11. Haworth. Special prizes were also presented to F. .Tudkins. It. Neill, P. Cole. A. Newton. V. Clark. S. Clark and C. R. Walker. The singintr of " Anld Lang Svne " brought an onjoyahle-function to a close.
