STEAMER SINKING.
PASSENGERS TAKE TO BOATS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 23, 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, October 22. The passenger steamer Sanmuil, of 1975 tons, has reported herself to be sinking in heavy seas south-west of Jamaica. Her position has been given as 12 degrees 32 minutes north, 81 degrees 20 minutes west. The passengers are taking to the boars.
