Tt is estimated that 120,000 panel doctors will resign, representing 80 per cent of the total. Sir W. JoynsonHicks, Minister of Health, hints that the Government may establish a new medical service for the poorer classes if the doctors cease work at the New Year. While hoping that the doctors will not smash the system, the Minister is confident that he will he able to organise a substitute.
