After breaking tb© shop windows they attempted plundering in many parts of the city. They are mainly the same unemployable class and toughs who were most prominent in the sanguinary Separatist affray at Dusseldorf on September 30. Possibly they include armed Separatists, which increases th© danger of the situThe unemployeds who are engaged in emergency work are co-operating with the rioters. The British tropos are confined to barracks, but are prepared for emergencies. The places of entertainment, restaurants and cafes ni*e closed. Similar riots have taken place at Solingen, where there are a number of slight casualties due to revolver shots.
