JJOIR—GOODE. A wedding took place iccently at the Madras .Street Church, when Miss Elsie Goode, third daughter of Air F. A. Goode, of St Albans, was married to Air R. Moir. younger son of Air C. Aloir. of Lyttelton, the Rev Harris officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of pale cream crepe do chene with georgette waterfall sleeves and finished with a beautiful shell pink spray of flowers falling on the skirt from the waist. Her veil, which was beautifully hand embroidered. was arranged in mob cap style and held in place bv a circlet of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of Arum lilies. Aliss Freda Goode, who attended her sister, looked charming in a lavender satin frock trimmed with silver tissue and a silver picture liat. She carried a bouquet of lavender and pink hothouse flowers and fern with streamers of lavender. tulle. The flower girl, Mabel Hillicr, niece of the bridegroom, wore a dainty frock of shell pink frilled crepe de chene caught at the sides with bahv ribbon. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride with lilac and fernery and Aliss Ward presided at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Cadena- tea rooms. Later Afr and Mrs Aloir left for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a stylish mole coat frork and a, mole and snxe model hat to match with a navy threequarter coat trimmed with fur. WOODARD--TOON. A wedding was solemnised at St Luke’s on Tuesday, when Miss Nellie Toon, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Clifford Toon. St Albans, was married to Air Horace Charles Woodard, nephew' of Air and Airs E. Clark. Lin wood. Archdeacon Taylor performed the ceremony and All* S. O. Thrower presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory satin and silk lace, gracefully draped at the sides, the court train, which was held ill place- at the shoulders with a pearl ornament, being lined and edged with beautiful old lace. She also wore a tulle veil, which was arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms. A bouquet of white orchids and geraniums completed a charming toilette. The bridesmaids were Aiisses Atabel AT’Lend and Molly Sheehan. Aliss Al’Leod wore a pretty frock of pale mauve georgette made with large scalloped frills and hat of pastel shaded tissue trimmed with hydrangeas and silver lace, the lace falling over the shoulder and giving a scarf effect. Aliss Sheehan’s frock was of palest lemon georgette with aceordeon pleated side panels, the low waist being defined with a broad draping of georgette petals and sleeves of petals. She wore a hat of gold tissue trimmed with lemon and gold mount and gold lace. Both bridesmaids carried bouquets to correspond with their frocks. Aliss Roma Pvne, in white crepe de chine embroidered in shades of mauve and purple ,and wearing a wreath of roses of the same shades in her hair, made a dainty little flower girl. She carried a, basket of mauve and purple flow*ers. The duties of best- man were carried out by Mr Joseph Hanratt-ie, and those of groomsman by Air Thomas Toon.

After the ceremony the breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Airs Toon, who received her guests, wore a frock of navy taffetas and georgette with smart black hat trimmed with ospreys. She carried a bouquet of golden, brown and yellow flowers. Airs E. Clark, aunt of tlie bridegroom, wore a smartly tailored navy costume and black hat relieved with white, and Mrs J. Commons, aunt of the bride, chose navy taffetas and hat of navy and silver. In the evening Air and Mrs Toon entertained about 150 guests in the Winton Street- Hall, which was tastefully decorated in mauve and lemon, with hunches of evergreens and multi-coloured balloons suspended from the ceiling. During the earlier part of the evening songs were contributed hr Airs J. Commons. Alessrs A. Toon. D Al’Gill and D. Bishop, for which Airs Arthur Toon, Aliss Olive Taylor and Air A. Thompson played the accompaniments. The latter part of the evening was devoted to dancing, music being supplied by Rigby’s Band.
