Abbott, formerly Federal member for New England, as the Country Party candidate for the Senate vacancy. B’ the Country and Labour Parties unite to defeat MjiT Greene on Wednesday, it is felt that a breach between the .Country and National Parties will be widened in New South Wales and also the Commonwealth.

After a youth had given an action song about a policeman, the lengthy programme was brought to a. conclusion by a gentleman who gave a step dancing exhibition, in which he intro duced several impersonations which were very well done.-The audience departed well satisfied with a good night’s fun. The finals will bo given to-night, when a number of new turns will also be presented. The length of last evening’s programme necessitated tlie holding over of a number of items till to-u i ght.
