A fair number of entries have been received for the coming Christchurch band contest and present prospects point to a highly successful contest. Presentations were made last night to Mr A. Ij. Chappell. retiring president, and Mr Moss Ballin, retiring ing secretary of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association.
