Members reported that they had almost completed the canvassing of the dist-trt for produce, dentting*. etc., in connection with the comir.gr carnival. and exrreesed themselves as delighted with • the ready response and liberality accorded hr parents and supporters of the school. Mr T. T>. Bui net-. wrote accepting the committee'* invitation to formally open the carnivn.’. and give a short address. The honorarysecretary reported that the Domain Board had granted the use of the nark for th© day. and that th© Football Club had given permission to use the new and capacious trainmf shed in which to fit up #l*l!* for t.h© sale of the prodnee and materials collected. It was reported that the T.adiea’ Committee had already in hand a large quantity of garments, neatly made up by the various donors, whilst, fancy work wa* coming in freely. Various side shows, including skittle alley, shooting: gallery. Aunt t?aJly, art gallery and deck quoits, were arranged for. and It was reaolved to hold a baby show. w“h classes for infants under six months, under twelve months and under eighteen months, if sufficient entries are available, together with a programme of races for girls and boys, and a weight-cuessiur competition.
