WEDDING.

BANKS—BUCKLEY. A very pretty wedding -was solemnised at St John’s Anglican Church, Rangiora, on August 30, when Victoria (Queenie) Buckley, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Buck ley, of North Brook, Rangiora, was married to William, third son of Mr and Mrs J. Banks of “ Riversdale,” Avonside, Christchurch, and formerly of Rangiora. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. F. Feron and appropriate wedding music was played by Mr Thompson. The weather was perfect. The church interior had been prettilv decorated by girl friends of the bride;“a beautiful wedding-bell vbeing hung over the bridal couple. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr C. J. Buckley, wore a graceful frock of mauve georgette, trimmed with gold bugle beads. A gold brocaded sash fell to the bottom of the skirt, which was ornamented with three folds. Instead of the usual veil, she wore a hat of lemon georgette, the crown of which was of mauve brocade, with a trail of flowers finished with a bow of gold ribbon. The bridesmaid was Miss M. Buckley, sister of the bride, and she wore a pretty frock of grey georgette trimmed with gold bugle beads. Her hat was lemon-coloured Both bride and bridesmaid carried posies of daisies and mauve freezias and ferns, tied with mauve tulle. The best man was Mr E. Banks, brother of the bridegroom. After the ceremony in the church, a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. A large marque-* had been erected on the lawn and here the wedding breakfast was laid, the wedding-bell having been brought from the church and hung above the bride and bridegroom. Other guests present were:—Mr and Mrs L. Banks and family (West Melton), Mr and Airs Raynor. Mr and Mrs C. J. Buckley, Mesdames Henry, James and Miles; the Misses Ethel Banks, Myra Miles. Mysie James, Nelmes. Mason. Hadler, Halfacre, Bow byes and E. and M. Buckley: Messrs Svlvester, Banks, J. Miles. Dobson. Meikle and E.. F., A. and R. Buckley. The bride and bridegroom left by car for the M est Coast, the bride travelling in a smart braided navy blue costume with lemon jumper. Mr and Mrs Banks weit the recipients of many useful and valu able presents from their many friends. Their future home will be at Pcndarves.
