INFLUENZA.
■ THREE MORE PNEUMONIC CASES. Three more eases of pneumonic ir--1 ftuenza were reported to the District j Health Officer this morning. That , makes ten cases this week for the whole i district, not at all an alarming percentage according to the authorities. Further cases of simple influenza have been reported, but there .is no widespread outbreak. The Christchurch Hospital authorities report that influenza is not causing concern at the hospital, and that so far it has not been necessary to make special ward prevision. Medical men state that a great many of the influenza oases that have come under their notice are little more than the result of colds. They agree that, in case of doubt, such a precaution as staving at home is advisable.
