WAGES ON ANZAC DAY.
PAYMENT NOT COMPULSORY, (F E.R Press Association .) WELLINGTON, June 28. A case was before Mr Hunt, S.M., to-day, involving the question whether wages must be. paid on Anzac Day. He held that the law clearly treated it as a Sunday, and he saw nothing making it obligatory to pay wages on that day. Leave to appeal was granted to the Inspector of Factories, who was the plaintiff.
