WEDDING.

MILLER—GRANTHAM. At St Paul’s Church. Papanni, on June 18, the wedding took place of Miss Emmie Adelaide Grantham, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs 11. S. Grantham, Kent, England, and Mr William Miller, second son of Mr and Mrs John Miller, Caithness, Scotland. The bride, who was given away by Mr E. V. Arthur, wore a smartly tailored costume of grey gabardine, in a pretty shade, and a black tain haze georgette, and carnations showc-. bouquet of choice pink and white blooms. The bridegroom was attended by his nephew, Mr Alex Andrew', as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Papanui Hotel, Mrs Tansey officiating as hostess, in the absence I of relatives of either bride or bridet groom. Among the guests were: Mr and Mrs E. V. Arthur, Mr and Mrs H. Walters, Mr and Mrs R. Bailev (of Little Akaloa), Mr and Mrs 11. MJDonald, Mrs T. 11. M’Kenzie, Mrs S. P. j Sandes, Miss Tansey, and the little Misses Kathleen and Myra Sandes, Mr George Dickson and Mr Geo. Bailey. Bagpipe music was supplied by Piper R. White. After the usual toasts had i ' been 'honoured., music and dancing I passed the time pleasantly. Later in S thcr afternoon Mr and Mrs Miller I motored away for their Honeymoon, I the bride wearing a navy tailored cos- | tume, small black ribbon hat, and wide I marabout stole. Over the costume y she wore a biscuit coloured gabardine 9 wrap.
