Cliegwin s Chum. Correspondents to ‘‘Our Dogs, ’ England, are making reference to the very noticeable lack of jaw-power in eir.ootn Fox Terriers. The under jaw is referred to. and it is noted that this gives a too pointed appearance to the muzzle. The same thing is uruiccable here, particularly by those familiar with tho breed twenty-five years ago. Weak muzzles and lightness, generally, of tlic- bone, militate against the- one-time appearance of sturdiness and tho ‘‘punishing” jaw is greatly missed. Breeders lia - '> this matter in their own hands and a is to be hoped judges will note the prevailing deficiency and penalise it Arrangements are well in hand lor tho first annual show of the Christchurch Toy Dog and Cat Club, to be held in the Caledonian Hall, Kilmore Street, on Friday and Saturday, July ‘27 and 28.
