Flesher) has agreed to preside at the Scouts’ meeting to be held in the Choral Hall on June 12. when Sir Alfred Pickford will deliver an address. A Sydney cable announces the death of Mr George Holdship, aged eighty four years. Mr Holdship was formerly prominent in commercial circles m Auckland. He was a very old colonist, having served in the Maori W ar. He carried on business as a tirabex moiohant. and was a member ol the AuckI land City Council from 1871 to 1873 1 and from 1885 to 1886.
