Attention was drawn to the unsatisfactory state of the Kowhai crossing by a member of the Kaikoura County Council at a recent meeting. It was stated that shingle had been taken out of the river on the town side and' large holes had been left. Inquiry elicited that the River Board was to deal with this matter.
