ROBERTSON - ORR CASE.
“NO LONGER PRIVATE QUARREL.” MRS EVANS AND ST , ANDREW’S. (P*r Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 9. When the Presbytery decided to re open the Robertson-Orr case, the Rev S. Robertson-Orr appealed to the General Assembly against the decision, giving his reasons. The committee appointed to defend the Presbytery’s action submitted replies to these reasons, which were approved. They contended that charges had been made against Mrs Evans, which were found to be untrue in Court: that the. statement that she was no longer a member of St Andrew’.* Church was incorrect; and that the case had long ceased to be a private quarrel, and was now a public matter.
